GPA calculation

The GPA is calculated as a weighted average of the grades, when the number of credit/hours is the 重量 and the numeric 成绩 is taken from the GPA table.

The GPA is equal to the sum of the product of the credit hours 重量 (w) times the 成绩 (g):

GPA = w₁×g₁+ w₂×g₂+ w₃×g₃+ ... + w_n×g_n

The credit hours 重量 (w_i) is equal to the credit hours of the class divided by the sum of the credit hours of all the classes:

w_i= c_i / (c₁+c₂+c₃+...+c_n)

2 credits class with A 成绩.

1 credits class with C 成绩.

credits sum = 2+1+1 = 4

w1 = 2/4 = 0.5

w2 = 1/4 = 0.25

w3 = 1/4 = 0.25

g1 = 4

g2 = 2

g3 = 2

GPA = w₁×g₁+ w₂×g₂+ w₃×g₃ = 0.5×4+0.25×2+0.25×2 = 3
